Blackberry 9700 Review

Because the Blackberry Bold 9700 has been called the “best Blackberry ever” by some, the excitement and expectations around this phone is high. It is true that the bold 9700 represents the apogee of successive refinements that Research In Motion (RIM) has done on its phones since the release of the original Bold. The Blackberry 9700 inherits from improvements made to the Blackberry Curve 8900 and the Blackberry Tour, among others. There are small changes in design, and important changes (for the better) in terms of performance, but overall, the Blackberry Bold 9700 feels similar to the Tour or the 8900. So, where does this phone stand? Let’s find out. Permalink: Blackberry 9700 Review from Ubergizmo | Hot: Blackberry Bold 9700 Review

Google’s semi-secret Nexus One handset has been more or less exhaustively leaked at this point , with very few cats left to let out of the bag. The only two major points left were the tech specs and the release date - and now, even those have made their way out.

An app with everything but sales

Topics: Gaming , iPhone , App Store TriplePoint PR’s site has a post on their blog about Orbital [ iTunes Link ], an iPhone game released a while back that I presume is one of their clients. Obviously, they’ve done their job: we’re talking about the game, which is $.99US or available in a lite free version [ iTunes Link ]. But they’ve also provided us with a little insight into just how things are going in the app’s release, and they picture they paint says “not well.” Oh, sure, it’s been reviewed well , there’s a little bit of buzz about it, and the game itself, says the firm, is good (trust them at your…

Samurai Puzzle Battle getting GotY edition

Topics: Gaming , Software , Odds and ends , Developer , iPhone , App Store I hadn’t even thought about it, but sure enough, we’re coming up on the end of the year, and there’ll be quite a few iPhone titles in the running for best mobile game of the year. This certainly isn’t the first year we’ve seen a nice crop of App Store picks coming out, but it’s the best so far. One of my favorites, Samurai Puzzle Battle , isn’t even waiting for the choices — they’ve announced that they’ll be releasing a Game of the Year edition very soon, with improved graphics and better online features. The game itself is a Puzzle Quest -style mix of RPG and gem…

NVIDIA Fermi GT300 GPU delayed until 2010?

We’re so sorry, true NVIDIA believers, but that airbrushed “I love Fermi” shirt is just gonna have to wait a little longer to see the light of day, at least according to a report from our favorite chip-centric foreign news syndicate, D igitimes . Taiwanese industry sources say the release of its Fermi GT300 GPU has been delayed until Fiscal 2011, which for the company means not until at least late January 2010. That “NVIDIA New Year” fete you’ve been gloating about on Facebook? We really hope you can get the deposit back on the rented space.
