French Court Rules Against Google’s Book Scanning

Internet search giant Google has hit a roadblock in France that could halt its book-scanning project. Google Books wants to scan more than 50 million books into digital versions. Google partnered with libraries around the world to include their collections in its Book Search. The company’s search results will act like a card catalog, offering snippets of text from books that remain in copyright. Searchers can read and download entire books from the Google Books Library Project that are out of copyright. Polaroid’s One Step film camera relaunching in 2010, nostalgists unite to celebrate

Call us crazy, but we never had much faith in the power of The Impossible Project to bring back the legendary Polaroid instant-print film camera . Despite our doubts (and those of the world), that very group has evidently caused quite a stir in the offices of Summit Global, which has today announced that the film-based One Step Camera is on track for a mid-2010 release. You can’t. Be quiet. “Microsoft knows the frustration of losing favorite apps and personal information when you lose, upgrade, or add a phone. For this reason, if you buy an application on Windows Marketplace for Mobile, you’ll be able to reinstall the application on a limited number of additional phones simply and free of charge. As outlined in the terms of use for Windows …

A few more of the tablet’s specs have emerged since our initial gander, including the fact that it’ll house a 667MHz Samsung ARM S3C6410 CPU, 128MB of RAM, and 1GB of flash memory.
