HTC passes CDMA / GSM hybrid Touch Pro2 through the FCC

Remember that Touch Pro2 we saw in Sprint livery yesterday? A leaked roadmap indicated that this would be a global roaming device packing both CDMA and GSM radios — and Telus’ inventory system certainly corroborates the existence of such a device. Further proof now comes to us in the form of an FCC filing for yet another variant of the Rhodium (HTC’s codename for the Touch Pro2), and while only CDMA is being tested here, there’s also some assurance from HTC that the FCC needn’t worry about the locked-down GSM radio lying dormant in there. Sharp AQUOS SHOT 933SH

Sharp has released yet another handset for SoftBank Mobile to usher in the summer this year in Japan - known as the AQUOS SHOT 933SH. What stands out the most for the 933SH would be its massive 10-megapixel low-noise CCD sensor that was specially developed to make it as simple to use as a standard digital camera courtesy of its rotating touchscreen display. Softbank’s cell phone lineup for this summer (part 2: Armani and other models)

SoftBank today not only announced six new cell phones made by Sharp but also nine other models from companies such as NEC, Panasonic, Samsung and Armani (well, the Armani handset is really made by Samsung). The carrier will start rolling out the handsets between May and October this year.
