Rhapsody iPhone app to get offline playback, still isn’t Spotify

Let’s be frank here: Rhapsody has some seriously big shoes to fill. Even though it hasn’t yet come stateside, Spotify has set a new standard for mobile music, and let’s face it: Rhapsody Mobile’s first few steps out of the gate haven’t exactly been well-received . So what can they do to pick up some steam (and hopefully a few new subscribers)? Izotope Mobile Audio Software Released for iPhones

Audio quality for some iPhone and iPod Touch users may be something that needs addressing but you can now look forward to better audio quality thanks to the launch of a new set of audio enhancement tools released by Izotope Inc. Aimed at providing third party software applications, people can now experience improved sound for their handheld devices through extensive licenses made available by Izotope. “We already rely on iZotope’s expertise and audio DSP for our Mac OS X line of products, so it was natural for us to work with iZotope to bring high quality audio processing to the iPhone,” explains Matthew Foust, Co-founder of Audiofile Engineering. Samsung Trance announced by Verizon

Announced minutes ago was the Trance from Samsung that hits Verizon stores tomorrow for a $50 after a $50 MIR. The most exciting feature about this phone is the Bang & Olufsen ICEpower amp, which means audio quality should be decent. Along with that are 1GB of internal storage, a 1.3-megapixel camera with NightShot (what’s that?), stereo Bluetooth, voice commands, and that’s about it.
